GOMPERS FIRM INTERVIEWED BY PRESS REGARDING ITS SUCCESSFUL RECOVERIES IN CANAZARO MATTERS.
The murder of Hilltown resident, Joe Canazaro, made headlines when it was discovered that he owed at the time of his death nearly $10,000,000.00 to casinos, the IRS and to other creditors. The Gompers firm represented two creditors of Canazaro’s creditors who together were owed $210,000.00. Unlike Mr. Canazaro’s other creditors, the clients of the Gompers firm made substantial recoveries on their claims.
Canazaro’s suspicious murder inside his Bucks County home occurred in Hilltown Township in January 2013 made headlines throughout the Philadelphia region. Subsequently, it was discovered that Canazaro owed creditors including the United States Government and casinos nearly $10,000,000.00 in unpaid debts. The Gompers firm represented two check-cashing agencies in the Canazaro bankruptcy that cashed NSF checks for Canazaro totaling $210,000.00. Gompers recovered near the full amounts, while other creditors received nothing when their claims were discharged in bankruptcy.
